 Sundatew

Hi peeps! How was your weekend? Ours was jampacked and super fun. As you know my husband and I were so bagsak from attending Mitch Albom's book signing event . Yesterday, after my husband's regular Sunday catechism, we headed right away to PICC to hear mass and to listen to Bro.Alvin's preachings at The Feast  - the happiest place on earth - with our other ka-sundate couple Mr. and Mrs. Ely Banjao.

We arrived three hours early kasi nagchopper kami.
Chos!

To kill time, we registered at the Seafair '14 exhibit at Harbor Square, Manila Bay.

At  The Feast, Bro.Alvin talked about putting God first in all areas of our lives.

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." -Matthew 6:33.

Friends, allow me share my own reflections with bible verses about Bro. Alvin's talk yesterday.

In married life,God should be our third-party .

"Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." -- Matthew 19:5, 6.

At work, He should be our boss

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters" - Colossians 3 :23

In friendship ,surround ourselves with people who will draw us closer to God.

"In that way, we will encourage each other by sharing our common faith." --Romans 1:12

As children, listen to our parents.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.  "Honor your father and mother"--which is the first commandment with a promise- Ephesians 6:1-2

Now, I feel guilty on this one. I always follow  my parents' pieces of advice , especially mom's, but more often than not halfheartedly. What's funny is I often end up telling myself "buti na lang sinunod ko si mama". At the end of the day, I always realize my parents only want the best for me and if things don't turn out the way I or we want it , I always have their back. Following your parents will never be a lost cause.

we wrapped up our weekend with a lite dinner.

It has always been a joy to attend the Feast every Sunday. It makes me spiritually and physically recharged and ready to face the daily grind of life head on.

Have Happy and Blessed Monday !

"The quality of your relationship with God will directly affect the quality of all your relationships with people."
