How I Met Jane

It was vacation. I was sitting in our yard with a book at hand very much engrossed in reading " Stone Diaries" by Carol Shields. I've heard  about her (Jane)  and wondered why Magnus Flett ,one of the characters in Stone Diaries, was very fascinated by her,he knows her  by heart and mind that he was inspired by her unyeilding character.

Brimming with curiousity, I searched for her. For I was longing to quench my eagerness to meet her. I searched at the shelves of bookstores to find her. And when I finally got hold of her,I didn't let her go. I spent hours contemplating on her pages.

Her torn pages apparently show that I never get tired reading her again and again.

She  courageously battled in her oppressive world, magnonimously bestowed compassion  towards a parentless child,  rose amidst the life's sordidness. Her unwavering faith to God and unconditional love to man who suffers with his own recklessness are remarkable.  No wonder Magnus Flett was awe-inspired by her ; he was able to memorize and recite by heart, chapter by chapter, every sentence , every word.

A book that describes the different kinds of love "Jane Eyre" is a must read.

"...that the real world was wide, and that a varied field of hopes and fears, of sensations and excitements, awaited those who had courage to go forth into its expanse, to seek real knowledge of life amidst its perils"- Jane Eyre.
